At ZipLine Medical, our focus is on the patient. Whether you are visiting the emergency room for a laceration, undergoing a pacemaker implant or having a total knee replacement, we strive to make the patient’s recovery a positive experience.

Our products are designed to facilitate healing, maximize comfort and minimize scarring, while reducing complications and improving patient satisfaction. The benefits from our technology reduce healthcare costs, both in the hospital and during patient recovery after discharge.

Staples and sutures are based on a centuries’ old concept of piercing tissue to close a wound.  Piercing tissue creates additional pathways for bacteria, which can lead to infection.  ZipLine Medical’s product line offers a new approach to wound closure.   By non-invasively closing skin while protecting it, this technology provides a new level of speed, comfort and cost savings in wound closure.

Because skin closure is a part of most open surgeries, ZipLine Medical’s products are applicable across a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, electrophysiology, cardiothoracic surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, dermatology and emergency medicine, among others.

ZipLine Medical was founded in 2009 by Amir Belson, M.D. and is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, California.
